Grief Support Program

Individual and group grief support for available to families who have experienced the death of an older child or grandchild. Services are provided at the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Center.  P: 403-955-8011

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Program

Provides individual, couples, family & group counselling following the loss of a pregnancy (miscarriage, ectopic, medical interruption), stillbirth & neonatal death. P: 403-944-8835

Hazel’s Heroes

An annual retreat in Kananaskis for grieving mothers who have lost a child 0-12 years of age from any cause. W:

Distress Centre

24 Hour Support, counselling and resources. They don’t define crisis. We don’t judge. We are here to listen and support you. Calls to Distress Centre Calgary's crisis line, 403.266.HELP (4357), are confidential. We offer free 24-hour crisis intervention, professional counselling and referral services to help you overcome crisis. W:

Sage Centre & Family Grief Services

Individual and group counseling for bereaved children and teenagers, a coinciding group for parents on “parenting grieving children” and a lending library. W:

SIDS Calgary Society, Peer Support

Self-help for parents who have experienced the sudden and unexpected loss of a baby. This group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every 2nd month at 7pm at The Good Earth Café, 1502 11 ST SW.

Suicide Services, Canadian Mental Health Association

Education and bereavement support for families who have experienced a loss by suicide.

The Compassionate Friends

Self-help group for bereaved parents that meet every 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30pm First Evangelical Free Church. W:

Caring Beyond

A self help group for parents who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death or termination. Contact: Find Caring Beyond on Facebook or leave a message on their volunteer-led phone line. P: 403-944-2209

The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta
